Plan your visit to the 4 castles of Lastours. Our practical tips to make your experience as enjoyable as possible.
Dress for hiking: walking shoes or closed trainers are compulsory. Flip-flops are strongly discouraged.
Stay hydrated: the sun beats down hard on the rock in summer. Bring at least one bottle of water per person.
Be ready for the terrain: the trails have slippery sections and a steep climb that requires a reasonable level of fitness.
In strong sun, avoid sunstroke: cap, hat, sunglasses and sun cream.
In rainy weather, bring an umbrella or a raincoat.
Allow enough time: to fully enjoy the full circuit and the panoramas, plan on an average of 2 to 2.5 hours.
Limited accessibility: due to its steep natural terrain, the castle site is unfortunately not accessible to wheelchairs. The belvedere, however, is accessible.
